An Artsy Adventure with Trisha Ladouceur
Last month I promised I had a few things up my sleeve! WELL – here’s the first exciting event that we will be hosting this year!!!
When: June 8-10, 2012
Where: At Scrapaholics
We are very proud to be hosting Trisha in Auckland while she is on her “Downunder” tour. Being that Trisha will be with us for 3 action packed days we’ve decided to hold a cropping marathon around her classes. This means you will be getting up to 13.5 hours of classes and/or 27 hours of cropping. Plus on top of all this there will be giveaways, raffles, technique classes and frivolity ad infinitum!!!
Trisha hales from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and we met her at CHA. Trisha is one of those people that you just instantly love and feed off her energy. I cannot wait for you to meet her. Her exquisite “works of art” were on display at several stands at CHA and I have to say Trisha is a very talented lady. You can check out her blog here .
Trisha will be running 4 classes across the weekend, the first on Friday night, two on Saturday and one on Sunday. The classes will be 3 – 3.5 hours in duration and judging by the estimated supplies lists that I have seen (not yet confirmed) there will be a plethora of papers and embellishments for you to work with in each workshop. The classes will be between $85 and $125 each to attend.
There will be limited spaces available for each class.
Here are descriptions of each class, sneak peeks of each will be available within the next couple of weeks:
Trinkets and Treasures (mini album)
It’s the little things that matter most...
Due to the special nature of the Artsy Adventure event, there will be no refunds for any class fees paid. Should you be unable to attend, you will be able to collect your class kit after the Artsy Adventure Weekend to complete at your leisure.
Pink Paislee is synonymous with perfection with each and every new release. Their amazing papers and embellishments quickly become the favourites of many and this newest collection will be no different. Join Trisha as she shares with you this precious mini album complete with numerous pockets and flaps designed to house adorable tags, additional photos and hidden journaling throughout. Each page is a new home to another trinket or treasure and will surely gain the admiration of all who you share this completed project with after participating in this class.
Luscious Layers (layout class)
It’s not just paper anymore...
Authentique hit the scrapbooking scene last year and took the world by storm. Their beautifully textured papers and co-ordinating embellishments serve as the perfect foundation for any paper crafting project as you will see in this class. Join Trisha, AUTH-orized Authentique Educator, as she guides you through the process of creating a one of a kind layout worthy of displaying proudly on the most coveted space on your wall. She will show you some fabulous techniques for taking your paper and their co-ordinating embellishments to an entirely new level of wonderful.
It’s a Beautiful Life... (mini album)
Lumps and Bumps are a good thing... especially when it comes to all things Prima!
We all know Prima to be in the forefront when it comes to producing beautiful papers and embellishments so what better products to use on a mini album showcasing our “Beautiful Life” than those that define beauty? Trisha has had the privilege of sharing Prima classes worldwide for many years and they never disappoint! Surely this will be one class you do not want to miss as this mini album is bursting with a plethora of the beautiful Prima products that we all adore and is perfect for showcasing so many of the people and things that create your Beautiful Life.
A Cut Above... (layout class)
Bringing the back to the front... right where it belongs!
What do you do when you have so many beautiful papers but when you go to construct your layout you can't bear to cover up the beautiful patterns that made you fall in love with the paper in the first place? Well, you get creative with your layering. There are many different options to showcase the designs on the papers that you may not have thought of. With some creative layering your background can become an integral part of the foreground of your layout. Undoubtedly you will leave with some newfound skills that you will be eager to try on your next project and will forever change how you look at your beautiful papers while having a stunning layout that will serve as inspiration as you look back on it with pride time after time.
To make this an even more exciting experience Trisha has designed each class so that there is enough product over to create another layout or cards or tags and she is going to supply instructions for those in the kits. Have I whet your appetite yet?
Okay, here’s another bonus, if you book into her two Saturday and her Sunday class (Friday night is an “added extra” class) you will receive an extra “bonus” kit for another layout. This kit will comprise of completely different products than those described in the above classes and you can complete this layout in your own time. The catch with this is – you must have registered by 31st March!
Seat numbers are limited for each class…
So, the costs to you will be:
Registration Fee for the weekend: $70 (this fee includes Morning Tea, Lunch & Afternoon Tea on Saturday and Sunday and a Goodie Bag.)
Classes $85 - $125 each
Dinner on Friday night (optional) $10 estimated (we will be ordering Pizzas from our “New” local Pizza shop)
